Saltwater Species Package

Argyll has an extensive coastline from which there are some great marks for catching pollack and coalfish off the rocks. There are also long sandy beaches where mullet and sea bass can be targeted.
When the seas and season is right we also take boat trips to visit some productive spots where all kinds of interesting species can be found.

Locations

Argyll

With small rivers we strongly recommend Argyll for anyone unfamiliar with Spey casting. The salmon are easily accessed, you don’t need to cast far to cover them, anyone can do it. The small rivers of Argyll have been the scene of the first salmon on the fly for many fly fishers.

Perthshire

Perthshire has no saltwater fishing. So best head to Argyll!

Edinburgh

Edinburgh has a few marks of mediocre sea fishing quality. Occasionally, when conditions allow, much more productive boat trips can be arranged leaving from North Berwick.

Our packages

We can provide packages for as many days as you’d like. Many anglers choose to come for 3 days to sample some different water, some come for a week and often leave with photos to put on their walls of their dream salmon, others simply don’t have time and come on day trips.

1 day trip

Saltwater fishing in Scotland is great for a few reasons. The views, the variety and the very good fights! Take a day trip to get a taster.
Image

3 day trips

On a three say saltwater package you can try some fly fishing for pollack off the rocks and have a day out in the boat to tempt a host of species. On day three you can then repeat whichever experience you enjoyed best.

6 day trips

Our special six day saltwater package is a fly only trip to the far north, with a stop off en route to fish a river mouth where sea bass, pollack and sea trout can be caught. Then over on the ferry to our favourite islands; Orkney. There we visit a number of different spots in the hunt for sea trout.
